Amorphous plastic is hyaline. PC is very rigid and tough. Just like PA PC comes with glass fibre that enhances the toughness. Is used for hyaline injection moulded products that demands high strength, as well as items that must be heat-resistant.
PS is very shockproof and therefore most commonly used for products exposed to great impact stress. The impact strength is however reduced by exposure to chemicals and disintegrated by certain solvents.
Density approx. 1,2 g/cm³. Glueable.
Maximum use temperature, unstressed approx. 120º C.
Fairly weather-proof.
