PVC – Polyvinylchloride

When unmodified PVC is hard and rigid. Soft PVC contains additives that makes it soft, plastic and tough. PVC contains chlorine that by combustion is hydrochloric acidified. In some parts of the world PVC has fallen into disrepute because of this, but PVC is a material that nonetheless deserves a considerable attention as it for many purposes is the best or only choice. We do not process PVC ourselves, but we can help arrange the production of PVC components. Also dip-moulded products. Dip-moulding is a production process where a punch is dipped into liquid PVC. This implies much lower moulding costs and slightly higher product costs than by injection moulding. The process is especially suitable for studs and knobs for special profiles and for tubes for use in smaller quantities.
Moreover, typically used for grommets, buffers and suction discs.
Density approx. 1,2 - 1,4 g/cm³ (dependent on the softening content). Glueable.
Maximum use temperature, unstressed (hard PVC) approx. 60º C. Soft PVC is at 60º C already very soft and plastic.
